Principles of operation for the Model 5200P air pressure regulator:
Turning the adjusting screw changes the force exerted by the range
spring on the diaphragm assembly. In equilibrium of set air pressure,
the force exerted by the range spring is balanced by the force form the
output air pressure acting underneath the diaphragm assembly. An
unbalanced state between the output pressure and the set pressure
causes a corresponding reaction in the diaphragm and supply valve
assemblies. If the output in the air pressure regulator rises above the
set pressure, an upward force is exerted on the diaphragm assembly
causing the relief seat to lift and open. Excess pressure in the air
pressure regulator is vented to atmosphere until equilibrium is
reached. If the output pressure drops below the set pressure the
unbalance force of the range spring causes a downward force on the
diaphragm as sem bly. The supply valve then opens until the pressure
builds up once more to the equilibrium condition. Under forward flow
conditions, the range spring force is balanced by the diaphragm
pressure force, with the supply valve open just enough to maintain the
required equilibrium pressure. When high flow occurs, a specially
designed aspirator helps maintain downstream pressure and compensates
for droop.
The Model POSR-1 is primarily a pilot operated steam regulator. The
external pilot valve is supplied from a main valve body tapped connection. Sizes are 1/2", 3/4" and 1" (DN15, 20 and 25). Handles pressure drops up to 200 psi (13.8 Bar) with adjustable outlet pressures between 5 and 150 psig (.34 and 10.3 Barg). Also available without the pilot as a pressure loaded steam regulator. The pilot uses a bellows as a frictionless seal for the pilot valve plug. It was incorporated to ensure that the pilot maintains its sensitivity and smooth operation in older steam systems that are chemically treated and systems that are used intermittently.
The Cashco Model 6987 is a heavy duty, high pressure , self- contained
back pressure /relief water pressure regulator for controlling fluid
pressure between 50 and 800 psig (3.4 and 55.2 Barg) setpoint levels.
Pressure builds up to 20% above setpoint pressure are possible. The
body design is an angle configuration with a side inlet and bottom
outlet. Available options include flanged end connections and stellited
seating surface. APPLICATIONS for Model Designed for controlling a wide
range of fluids including air, inert gases, water pressure, fuel oil
and chemicals. Model 6987 is not normally utilized in steam service.
Model NW-PL is a pressure-loaded, flow-to-open, direct-action,
loading-type pilot regulator. Used in gaseous service only for pressure
reducing or backpressure applications. Pressure-loading design
increases sensitivity by eliminating the resultant “droop effect” range
spring. May be loaded with process or auxiliary gas. A Type MA6 with
1:1 loading-to-output ratio is standard; an alternate Type MD6 with 1:3
ratio is available for higher outlet pressures with lower auxiliary
loading pressures, and a high sensitivity Type MA7 with 1:1 ratio is
available for close accuracy of setpoint at lower outlet pressures.
The Model 1000HP is the most versatile, self contained high pressure
regulator available today. Its unique internal design and straight
through flow path isolate the diaphragm from fluid velocity effects and
increase capacity and stability at both high or low flow rates. Flow to
open design and extended guiding allow high pressure drops to 650 psid.
It can be used in severe service and cryogenic applications that normal
pressure reducing regulators cannot handle. Four body materials and
fourteen trim material selections provide compatibility with many
fluids—including saturated and superheated steam, industrial gases,
fuel oils, compressed air, sour gas, chemical, and other process fluid
services.

The design takes advantage of all the features of the basic 1000HP
reducing high pressure regulator. The availability of optional
construction and body and trim materials is limited to those indicated
herein. The straight-thru flow path inherent in the 1000HP design
allows for higher capacity. The streamlined path also reduces wear and
maintenance for the flashing or cavitating conditions frequently
associated with cryogenic service.
Cashco defines globe valves as being valves with a linear motion,
push-pull stem, whose one or more ports and body are distinguished by a
globular shaped cavity around the port region. Globe valves are
characterized by a torturous flow path and is also referred to as a LOW
RECOVERY VALVE because some of the energy in the flow stream is
dissipated; and the inlet pressure will not recover to the extent that
it would in a more streamlined HIGH RECOVERY VALVE.

SANITARY CONTROL GLOBE VALVES: The Model SCV-S are throttling,
pneumatically actuated control globe valves. This design provides a
geometrically characterized plug for superior throttling dynamics, plus
the unit's ease of cleanability and maintenance meet the requirements
of sanitary control valves. Model SCV-S has a straight-globe pattern
with Model 30 Reverse Action Actuator. It is used in pharmaceutical and
biotechnical industries in production of shear sensitive microorganisms
and many health care products for both human and animal consumption.

resistant stainless steel diaphragm.

yoke (200 Series) actuators as standard options for the Ranger

The Model 2171 is a stainless steel back pressure / relief regulator designed to handle small to mid-capacity flow rates in general, chemical or cryogenic services. This unit is capable of controlling inlet pressure to setpoint levels between 5 and 500 psig (.34 and 20.6 Barg).

Model C-PRV* is a 316L SST self-contained pressure reducing gas regulator designed for liquid or gaseous fluids utilized in sanitary biotechnological process piping systems. The unit is capable of controlling outlet pressure between 2-125 psig (.14 - 8.6 Barg) with a maximum inlet
pressure of 175 psig (12.1 Barg).

A rotary valve is a valve style in which the FLOW CLOSURE MEMBER is
rotated in the flow stream to modify the amount of fluid passing through the valve.

The Ranger QCT is a rotary valve with a pneumatic
spring-diaphragm actuator. It can be supplied with either a
flanged or flangeless body style. This rotary design provides excellent service life in a wide range of applications. Its most unique design feature
centers around its Quick Change Trim – QCT. This concept provides front access to the rotary valve body, allowing use of various lo-noise inserts, abrasion sleeve or alternate frontend seal retainers. Also, combinations of these features can be utilized to meet specific application needs.
