The Oliver Hi-Cap, Master and Maxi-Cap Gravity Separators are used on
any type or variety of seed and grain cleaning process, low germination
light seeds, brokens, mechanical damage, insect damage or foreign

a gravity separator.

Fluidized Bed Dryer - The application of the Oliver patented fan system
to produce uniform, precise air flow has created a simple inexpensive
fluidized bed dryer. The flash drying system provides a solution to
many challenging thermal processing problems. The fluidized bed dryer
offers instantaneous moisture removal from material with diverse size
and consistency characteristics and there is a long retention time on
the drying table. A large vibrating table also minimizes material
degradation and dust control, heat and chilling air systems are readily
available.
Check out Oliver's new flash dryer which features precise air flows
to solve many thermal processing problems. The flash dryer system provides a solution to many challenging thermal processing applications. Instantaneous moisture removal from materials with a wide variety of size and consistency characteristics is possible. A dispersing feeder, a unique gentle air stream and a large vibrating table minimize material degradation. A long retention time on the drying table makes the system suitable for processing heat-sensitive materials and for maintaining optimal product quality. The air heater has computer controls that optimize fuel consumption and heat conservation. The process air can be chilled for applications that require the process material to be cooled. Process applications include a flash dryer for edible legumes after washing, surface dry delicate seed after mechanical coating and remove excessive moisture from stored commodities.
Keep in mind at all times that the Oliver Specific Gravity Separator is not a "cure all" for the processor's problems. The gravity separator is a specialized piece of machinery designed to separate particles of a similar size that differ in weight, eliminating light trash. Oliver specific gravity separators should not be used as a cleaning machine to remove dust, dirt, sticks and other refuse frequently found in harvested crops. The specific gravity separator should not be used as a
sizing machine. Screening machines can do this job more efficiently. In
all processing situations, the best results are obtained on the gravity
when the product has been thoroughly pre-cleaned and sized, using the
proper equipment for those purposes. Under these conditions, the
gravity separator is able to show what it can really do!
The gravity separator and destoner, also known as an air table,
fluidized bed separator or pneumatic separator, separates dry,
granular, free-flowing material according to particle density.

To effect a separation on any gravity separator, the same principles
apply. Once they are understood, it is usually a simple step to adjust
a gravity separator to produce optimum separation. The term " gravity
separator" is a contraction of the proper name "Specific Gravity
Separator," which means, a separator of particles differing in their
specific gravities.

Standard Features:

The Seed Processing feed rate control is located on the feeder and governs the amount fed onto the separating deck. Whether standard Oliver feeders are used or another type is employed, a means of controlling the feed is essential. The feed rate (fast or slow) should be uniform and free of surges. Surges in the incoming feed will show up in the discharge of the machine as a poor quality separation in Seed Processing. Generally, the average feed rate is determined by the average capacity of the processing line of equipment. For optimum separation on your Gravity Separator, the seed rate should be as low as possible without falling below the minimum feed rate at which the deck can be kept completely covered. Maximum feed rate is the maximum rate at which the deck can be fed and still obtain the necessary separation. When starting your Gravity Separator, always start at the minimum feed rate. Obtain the required separation, and then increase the Seed Processing feed rate to the desired capacity.

Size Right®
The Size Right®is a precise cylinder sizer designed for efficiency and safety. The Size Right® may be used with a variety of products such as corn, popcorn, peanuts, sunflowers, cereals, beans, vegetable seeds, grass seed, rice, soybeans or plastic pellets.
