CLERMOUTIER-LAKE

“We should preserve every scrap of biodiversity as priceless while we learn to use it and come to understand what it means to humanity.”

Edward O. Wilson
(American scientist, founder of The Biodiversity Foundation)

Biodiversity is a scientific concept. It is also a concept that guides us in very concrete ways at Lake Clermoutier:

• No building or landscaping within 15 meters of the lakefront
• No motor boats on the lake
• No fertilisers used on the property
• Sediment control basin installed to minimize soil erosion
• Lots are sold with a waterworks system
• No septic drainage beds onsite, domestic wastewaters are sent to an organic treatment plant in accordance with Quebec’s Environment Ministry protocol.

You can find more information about our land development approach by reading “Living by Water” (in french only) published by Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
